Last Friday was the day when we showed for the first time publicly our design ideas and furniture prototypes. We've been working on them for the last three months and we wanted to get feedback on our work.
The survey we ran in January gave us a great understanding of how furniture is used in the modern day home. We used this newly acquired knowledge to thoroughly scrutinize the ideas we had so far and to come up with new ones. We decided to start prototyping three pieces of furniture: a coat hanger, a leaning shelf and a multifunctional stool.
Less than two weeks ago we launched our survey to better understand modern day home and furniture. The response has been unbelievably high. We haven't started analyzed the results yet, but wanted to share some interesting facts.
Our goal is to build furniture that fits modern day living, but what exactly is modern day living? To better understand this we created a questionnaire and each member of our studio personally made sure the survey would reach as many people as possible.
Regrouping after the holidays is not an easy task, especially if some members of the team went surfing in Tofino. Waves aside, we had to send out our first big shipment and we were yet to finish up making the Moi Boxes.
